Somersby the value option in Amlin

MASTER Minded is favourite for today’s Amlin Chase at Ascot but, like stable companion Kauto Star, he has some questions to answer.

He was way below par on his return at Aintree last month and, though he cantered to victory in this race last season, it remains to be seen whether or not he can rediscover his best form.

There were times during last season when it appeared as though his star was on the wane, but performances like he produced here in November, at Cheltenham in December and at Aintree in April showed he’s not ready to be an also-ran just yet.
