Zoom in on Zalantoun
The Dalakhani colt ran really well at the Curragh last time and the bare form alone looks good enough to land this.
He finished third behind stable companion, Call To Battle and Golden Hill, with another Oxx inmate, Takar, behind in fourth.
The form has been working out quite nicely. At Leopardstown last Sunday Call To Battle made the step up in class to land a Listed race.
Also at Leopardstown Takar looked very much one for the future when scorching away with a maiden to the tune of eight lengths.
It all points to Zalantoun and there is further encouragement in the plum draw he has been given in two.
Tracey Collins’ Ashton Rose is fancied to defy top weight — and complete a hat-trick in the process — in the Follow Dundalk On Facebook Handicap.
Her latest win came her last month, scoring by a neck and being raised 2lbs for that. Danny Benson has now been booked and takes off a very valuable 7lbs.
The progressive Celebrity Sevi, easy winner of what should have been a competitive Naas handicap on his latest appearance, gets the nod in the Carlingford Stakes.
