THE Aidan O’Brien-trained Wave should prove tough to beat in the Irish Stallion Farms 2-Y-0 Fillies Maiden in Dundalk tonight where 25 minute intervals between some races will be implemented as an experiment.

O’Brien has won similar fillies’ maidens with a couple of exciting prospects in recent weeks, notably Wading, which went on to win the Group 2 Rockfel Stakes impressively at Newmarket last Saturday.

The Dansili filly Wave might not make an impact at such a level. But, on the evidence of her debut run at the Curragh, she looks capable of a maiden success and has been found a good opportunity here.
