Collina can collect in Moyglare

THE rematch between Maybe and La Collina in tomorrow’s Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes at the Curragh is undoubtedly the highlight of the weekend's horse racing action, and the bookmakers have firmly pinned their colours to the former's mast.

Aidan O'Brien's unbeaten filly is certainly deserving of her place at the head of the market but I'm not certain I'd make her an odds-on shot to confirm the form of her previous meeting with La Collina. When the pair met at in the Silver Flash Stakes at Leopardstown back in July, Maybe was sent off the 2-7 favourite, despite jockey Joseph O'Brien carrying 3lbs overweight.

The filly asserted to open up a clear advantage off the last bend but was ultimately all out to hold the determined effort of La Collina by a neck.
