Snow Fairy team favour Irish Champion bid

CONNECTIONS of Snow Fairy are favouring the Red Mills Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown on September 3 as the next port of call for the accomplished filly.

Snow Fairy was prevented from running in last Sunday’s Prix Jean Romanet on a technicality, with trainer Ed Dunlop having elected to swerve the Yorkshire Oaks a few days earlier because of the ground.

The winner of four top-level races last year including the Epsom and Irish Oaks, Cristina Patino’s daughter of Intikhab has raced just twice this season with her second to Midday in the Nassau Stakes being a vast improvement on her effort behind So You Think in the Eclipse.
