Fehily hopes to return shortly

NOEL Fehily hopes to be back in action shortly after being sidelined by a wrist injury since November.

He is just waiting to get approval to return to the saddle from British Horseracing Authority chief medical advisor Dr Michael Turner after proving his fitness to his surgeon and physiotherapist.

“All’s going well, I’m making good progress and I’m ready to come back. I’m just waiting for the all-clear from Dr Turner,” Fehily told At The Races.

“As soon as I get that I’m fit and ready to go.

“I’ve had the all-clear from my surgeon now and from the physio in Lambourn as well.

“I’ve had letters from both those sent off to Dr Turner. He’s received them now.

“If he wants to see me I might have to go to his clinic in London.

“The main thing is I’m fit and raring to go.”
