FREDERICK Engels is settling down in his temporary accommodation at Deauville ahead of an attempt for Group One compensation in tomorrow’s Darley Prix Morny.

Frederick Engels, along with Mick Channon’s Gatepost, is one of two British runners in the six-furlong affair.

“He travelled well and I’m happy with him. He’s just A1. He had come on a lot for the Newmarket run and obviously everyone saw what happened in Ireland, so hopefully he gets a chance to open himself up this time,” said Brown, who last visited Deauville as a teenager.
