Soldier sold to race in Hong Kong

The Holy Roman Emperor colt earned his sole success to date in a Leicester maiden in May but was beaten just a neck by Power in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot, and a length by Frederick Engels in the July Stakes at Newmarket. The colt will be rested for the remainder of the season, with the intention of returning to the track next term.

Owned by Mrs Susan Roy, the juvenile held entries for races such as the Gimcrack and the Mill Reef Stakes, but has been scratched from all his engagements.
