Chacha shines in Oak Tree
Sir Henry Cecil's filly was looking for a gap a furlong out but when the split came between long-time leader Law Of The Range and Khor Sheed on the outside, Tom Queally did not waste any time in taking advantage.
Chachamaidee accelerated into the space and soon put daylight between her and the rest of the field, running out a two-and-three-quarter-length winner.
"She used to be difficult and highly strung but a hood helps her," Cecil said.
"She'll get a mile and I'd like to try a Group One - I will have to look at the programme."
Dever Dream finished fast to claim second, half a length in front of Law Of The Range.
Favourite Maqaasid failed to make any kind of impact while the career of former top-class juvenile Memory looks to be over after she again refused to break from the stalls.
