Smullen a significant booking for Quest

PAT SMULLEN, who rides the course really well, is a significant booking for Giant’s Quest in the Paddy Smyth Memorial Maiden at Ballinobe tonight and the five-year-old gets the nap.

The Giant’s Causeway gelding, following a couple of reasonable efforts, got off the mark in a bumper at Cork towards the end of May.

He stayed on strongly up the straight to score by a length and a quarter and the form has been working out quite nicely with Donatis Comet (fourth) and Minella Humour (fifth) going on to win in the meantime.
