Dancing bids to join elite

DANCING Rain will bid to join quite an elite bunch of ladies when she lines up for the Irish Oaks at the Curragh next weekend.

Epsom Oaks winners have an impressive record in the Irish equivalent, with such luminaries as User Friendly, Ouija Board, Alexandrova, Sariska and Snow Fairy already accorded entry to the group of dual Oaks winners.

Trained by William Haggas, Dancing Rain caused a minor upset when making all the running to land the Epsom race in the hands of Johnny Murtagh, and the daughter of Danehill Dancer is reportedly on target for her bid for a Classic double.
