Nahrain worth her place in Distaff

ROGER Varian believes the unbeaten Nahrain is well worth her place in the line-up for today’s Coral Distaff at Sandown.

A daughter of Bahr, who won the Musidora and Ribblesdale in 1998, as well as finishing second in the Oaks, she has looked a high-class prospect in her own right when winning a Windsor maiden and a Haydock handicap.

“She’s won her two races very well, but obviously this is a big step up in class,” said Varian.
