Lynch earmarks Galway comeback

JOCKEY Andrew Lynch is hoping to be back in the saddle in time for the Galway Festival.

Sizing Europe’s regular partner has been out of action since breaking his right arm and left wrist in a fall at Fairyhouse in April.

The six-day meeting kicks off on July 25 and Lynch will know more after a visit to hospital next week.

“It could have been worse and if there was a good time for it to happen that was it,” said Lynch.

“I’ll know a lot more after Tuesday but I’ve been doing plenty of gym work and swimming and the arm seems to be coming along.

“I’ve got plenty of movement and it probably just needs to strengthen a little more.

“I’m not sure when I’ll be back, but I’d be hoping to be back for Galway.”
