Behkabad to miss King George

LEADING French performer Behkabad, who suffered a rough passage when fourth in last season’s Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, has sustained an injury and will miss a possible engagement in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes next month.

Last year's Prix Niel winner is thought to have sustained the injury when a head second behind Silver Pond on his comeback run last weekend and had been a 14-1 shot to give France a first King George success since Hurricane Run in 2006.
