‘Delegator is my best chance’

SAEED BIN SUROOR has nominated the Golden Jubilee Stakes-bound Delegator as his best chance at Royal Ascot next week.

The son of Dansili has always been rated a top-class performer, notably chasing home Sea The Stars in the 2000 Guineas a couple of years ago.

Dropped to six furlongs for the first time, the five-year-old really impressed on his first start of the year in the Duke Of York Stakes last month and he will bid to open his account in Group One company on Saturday week. “I think Delegator is my best chance at Royal Ascot. He’s always a good horse and I definitely believe he’s a sprinter,” said bin Suroor. “He did a piece of work on Thursday and it went really well.’’
