CARLTON HOUSE is set to take his place in the Investec Derby at Epsom tomorrow after showing positive signs following an injury scare.

Connections of Queen El;izabeth’s colt, trained by Michael Stoute, issued an upbeat bulletin last evening after the three-year-old showed no ill-effects following a four-furlong canter in Newmarket yesterday morning.

Carlton House has been the long-time favourite for the premier Classic, but doubts over his participation arose after he developed swelling in his near-fore leg.
