Voodoo magicfor Ouija Board

VOODOO Prince, the first foal out of the multiple Group 1-winning Ouija Board, recorded his maiden success at Haydock last night.

Trained, like his dam, by Ed Dunlop and also ridden by Kieren Fallon, the colt overcame greenness to get the better of the very strongly supported newcomer Kawssaj in the one-mile maiden.

Sixth on his debut, he was a market drifter on this occasion but Fallon brought the three-year-old with a strong run to wear down Kawssaj, who is also out of a Classic winner.

Ouija Board’s 12 victories included the Irish and English Oaks (2004) and two Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf races for owner Lord Derby, who also owns Voodoo Prince.
