THE very promising Mossey Joe strolled to victory in the O’Keeffe, O’Shea, O’Connor Solicitors’ Novice Chase at Killarney last night.

Barry Geraghty did a splendid job on the imposing eight-year-old, who has always had a tendency to run far too keenly for his own good.

Trained by Declan McNamara at Cratloe, Co Clare, Mossey Joe never left second gear and it was always a question of when Geraghty pressed the button.
