Europe enjoys Easter outing
Trainer Henry de Bromhead decided to give his Arkle Trophy and Queen Mother Champion Chase hero a spin in different surroundings with the two-mile Grade One contest taking place in under two weeks’ time.
Third behind Golden Silver in this race last year, official figures suggest he’s improved more than a stone since that defeat and his trainer is delighted with his preparation ahead of the return trip to Kildare.
“He’s in good form, we’re really pleased with him,” said the County Waterford handler.
“We’ve just been working him today and he’s good. We’ve given him a gallop away from home.
“Punchestown’s the aim at the moment.”
