Europe enjoys Easter outing

Trainer Henry de Bromhead decided to give his Arkle Trophy and Queen Mother Champion Chase hero a spin in different surroundings with the two-mile Grade One contest taking place in under two weeks’ time.

Third behind Golden Silver in this race last year, official figures suggest he’s improved more than a stone since that defeat and his trainer is delighted with his preparation ahead of the return trip to Kildare.

ā€œHe’s in good form, we’re really pleased with him,ā€ said the County Waterford handler.

ā€œWe’ve just been working him today and he’s good. We’ve given him a gallop away from home.

ā€œPunchestown’s the aim at the moment.ā€
