Boylesports pays out on odds-on favourite Big Buck’s
Paul Nicholls’ star hurdler has won the last two World Hurdles and is unbeaten in 10 races over flights in Britain.
David Pipe’s Grands Crus was an impressive winner of the Cleeve Hurdle at Cheltenham last month and had emerged as the biggest danger to Big Buck’s.
Odds-on throughout the winter, Big Buck’s is now available as high as 11-10, with Grands Crus regarded as a particularly formidable challenger.
Boylesports, however, clearly regard the likely outcome as a formality and say the decision to pay out some three weeks before the festival will cost the company €295,000.
Leon Blanche, Boylesports Head of PR, said: |“Big Buck’s is unbeaten over hurdles in Britain and we see no reason for that to change on Thursday, March 17, St Patrick’s Day.
“Grands Crus was a ready winner of the Cleeve Hurdle, but he hasn’t come up against anyone nearly as classy as Big Buck’s and we are confident that Paul Nicholls’ star will make it three-in-a-row.
“Boylesports punters, who have already backed Big Buck’s, will be paid out in full and they have already started the Cheltenham Festival on the front foot.”
