Boylesports to refund bets on second placed horses

BOYLESPORTS.com yesterday announced that they will refund bets on second placed horses in the first four races of the Cheltenham Festival, the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle, Arkle Trophy, Festival Handicap Chase and Champion Hurdle, on bets placed with Boyleports.com and with the firm over the phone.

Last year Get Me Out Of Here finished runner up in the Supreme Novices’ at 9/2, Somersby was second in the Arkle at 4/1, the 9/2 favourite The Package was just pipped in the Festival Handicap Chase and 7/1 shot Khyber Kim finished second to Binocular in the Champion Hurdle.

According to the company similar results this year would see Boylesports.com refund in excess of €1m to customers.

Leon Blanche, Boylesports.com head of PR, said: “There’s nothing more frustrating for punters than seeing their selection finish second at Cheltenham. Boylesports.com customers can bet with us safe in the knowledge that they will get their money back if that happens in any of the first four races.’

The maximum return will be €300 or £250 per customer per race. It will apply to win singles or the win part of each way singles only and not to singles as part of multiple bets. The offer does not affect Boylesports’ ante-post rules.
