HENRY de Bromhead reports Loosen My Load on target for the Jewson Novices’ Chase at Cheltenham on March 17.

Loosen My Load on target for Jewson

The Co Waterford trainer is happy to be targeting the seven-year-old at the new two-and-and-half-mile addition to the Festival.

Loosen My Load has shown decent form in his first season over fences and he shaped well over the track in November when third to Festival-bound Ghizao and Captain Chris over two miles.

He was then a respectable fourth to Realt Dubh in the Bord na Mona With Nature Chase at Leopardstown on his latest start.

“He looks great and is in good form. We’re looking forward to running him in the Jewson,” said De Bromhead.

His team is headed by Sizing Europe in the Queen Mother Champion Chase and his other likely contenders are Sizing Australia and Queiros Bleu.

“We’ve got Sizing Australia in the cross-country. He’s in good form and always runs well round there,” he added. “Hopefully we’ll have Queiros Bleu in the Pertemps. He’s a nice horse so hopefully he’ll run well.”
