Voler bounces back in Boyne

Murphy was not present to see his star mare bounce back to winning form in the Grade 2 Ladbrokes.com Boyne Hurdle, the class-dropping 9/4 favourite travelling sweetly throughout under Andrew Lynch before coming through to beat Rigour Back Bob readily by four lengths.

The trainer’s father Pat explained: “The opposition was a bit different today and she seemed to handle the ground well. Andrew (Lynch) rode her in the Hatton’s Grace and gets on well with her. It’s great that she’s back in the winner’s enclosure. And, if she comes out of the race okay, Colm says she might run in the Red Mills (at Gowran Park) next Saturday.”
