HURRICANE FLY, currently a top-priced 5-1 second favourite behind Binocular for the Stan James Champion Hurdle, can give his Cheltenham prospects a major boost by landing the BHP Insurances sponsored Irish equivalent at Leopardstown tomorrow.

Little problems along the way have delayed the seven-year-old’s rise to the top, but he has been in terrific form this campaign and, for the first time, Willie Mullins has had a clear run with him.

Hurricane Fly began by beating Solwhit a hard-earned length and a half in the Hatton’s Grace at Fairyhouse in December and that was a solid effort, against an opponent who had the benefit of a previous outing.
