Take Quilver Tatou at Folkestone
Highly tried as a four-year-old, Charlie Mann’s charge is still seeking his first success three years later.
He returned from a lengthy lay-off when having just his second chase outing at Lingfield, just getting a bit tapped for toe by Massini Sunset and eventually going down by eight lengths.
A mistake at the last did not help his chances either but he should be much sharper for the Hythe Novices’ Handicap Chase.
Roger Charlton seems to be enjoying his foray into the jumps world and Knockdolian could be another winner for him in the Westenhanger Juvenile Maiden Hurdle.
The trainer has a live chance of Champion Bumper glory with three-time winner Keys and while Knockdolian is not of that calibre, he is better than his debut seventh suggests.
He will be a good bit wiser for that experience and is worth another shot.
