EVAN WILLIAMS has his string in decent nick and can bag another success courtesy of Phidippides in this afternoon’s Leicester Annual Members Novices’ Chase.

The Welsh handler fired in a nice winner with Chrysander on Monday and in the selection he has a really nice prospect on his hands.

A smart hurdler – he was beaten just once from three starts and only a shade below top class – he looks made for the bigger obstacles and was narrowly denied on his debut behind highly-touted French import Rock Noir.
