Dare To Doubt looks primed to strike
A useful horse in bumpers, the six-year-old should now be primed to strike for the first time over jumps.
She made her debut over flights on this track at the end of October and went off a well-backed favourite.
The daughter of King’s Theatre travelled really well for most of that contest, but struggled up the straight to finish a disappointing fourth behind Model County Lass.
On the bare form she cannot possibly beat Foildubh, who was a place and ten lengths in front of the selection. Foildubh, however, has since only managed fourth to Frisco Depot at Naas. Dare To Doubt appears to have far more potential and, dropping down half a mile in trip and certain to strip much fitter, is readily preferred.
Mullins can complete a double with once-raced Riltree in the 2011 Three-Day Easter Festival Mares Bumper.
She was the medium of positive reports when making her debut at Limerick, but trailed in fifth behind shock winner, Kalanelli.
Hopefully, the five-year-old will prove a lot better than she looked there and this is not an overly exacting assignment.
