Treble tops for Hanagan

Treble tops for Hanagan

The trio of winning favourites took the northern-based rider nine wins clear of his title rival Richard Hughes, who drew a blank at Newmarket on his last day in the saddle before he serves a seven-day suspension.

Lady Del Sol set the Hanagan ball rolling with a comfortable win in the Market Cross Jewellers Claiming Stakes. Mick Quinlan’s Blanche Dubawi, the 6-4 favourite, was a ready three-and-a-half-length winner of the EBF Maiden Fillies’ Stakes, before Hanagan made it three on 10-11 shot Glencadam Gold.
