Dancer to deliver

TONY MARTIN, who has his team very much back on song, can provide a winning nap in the shape of Tijuana Dancer in the NIFOR 5th and 6th November Hurdle at Down Royal this evening.

Dancer to deliver

The six-year-old got off the mark over flights at Clonmel back in March, staying on to beat the moderate Happy Milly by three lengths.

He wasn’t seen again until reappearing on the flat at Sligo earlier in the month, finishing fourth behind the subsequent Killarney winner, Quench The Flame. That should have left Tijuana Dancer spot-on for this test.

The frustrating Norther Bay has been a found a good opportunity in the Mission To Seafarers Charity Beginners Chase.

He was grabbed late and beaten half a length by Turf War at Wexford and, hopefully, will now step up on that.

At Wexford, Dermot Weld’s Alburj, rested since disappointing at Royal Ascot, can land the ITBA (Southeast) Supporting Wexford Maiden.

Prior to that Alburj was beaten three parts of a length by the smart Unity at Fairyhouse, which represents the best piece of form facing into this evening’s contest.

Willie Mullins’ Apt Manor looks the business in the Enniscorthy Mares’ Bumper. Second to Fort Defiance at the Galway Festival, she then made no mistake when justifying odds of 2-5 at Tramore.

Apt Manor, admittedly, wasn’t overly impressive at Tramore, but you do suspect there may be a lot more to come from the selection.
