Unlucky break for Foley

APPRENTICE jockey Shane Foley will be sidelined for up to two months after breaking two bones in a fall at Bellewstown on Wednesday.

The rider was unshipped from French Express before the start of the second race and fractured both his left collarbone and right ankle in the fall.

Turf club medical officer Dr Adrian McGoldrick said: “Shane Foley has fractured both his left collarbone and right ankle and may be out of action for some six to eight weeks.
