Unlucky break for Foley
The rider was unshipped from French Express before the start of the second race and fractured both his left collarbone and right ankle in the fall.
Turf club medical officer Dr Adrian McGoldrick said: “Shane Foley has fractured both his left collarbone and right ankle and may be out of action for some six to eight weeks.
“He probably won’t need surgery on his ankle.”
McGoldrick also revealed that fellow rider Willie Supple is also out of action after fracturing his collarbone when breaking a horse this morning.
“Willie is in Tullamore Hospital and is under review now but is likely to be out of action for three weeks,” McGoldrick added.
