Duchess delivers for Fagan

WESTMEATH-BASED trainer Mark Fagan recorded his biggest success on the flat at Gowran Park yesterday, when Duchess Of Foxland ran out an impressive winner of Hurry Harriet Stakes.

The 20/1 shot could be called a winner a long way from home and she picked up willingly under Emmet McNamara to account for Fourpenny Lane by a half a length.

The Medecis filly carries the colours of Gillian Procter and Fagan reported: “I have my licence four years now and she is the real star of the show. I’ve no immediate plans for her, but hopefully she’ll remain in training next year.”
