Jackpot finally won
The bet reached a massive £2,308,852 by the time of the first race at the Merseyside track, and was won for the first time since July 26 at Yarmouth. Although no favourite was successful in the first five of the six-race bet, there was still plenty of tickets going on to the final leg.
Wins for Fabiello, Tallahasse, Spinning Spirit, Uphold and Joseph Lister left the total at £94.50 to the concluding M.E.N. Media Handicap, where all 10 horses were covered with £14.50 spread on to the winner Starkat.
