Workforce plans on ice
Although nothing obvious has come to light for the lifeless display at Ascot, connections are adopting a patient approach with the colt who broke the track when routing his Investec-backed Classic rivals at Epsom.
Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager to the owner, said: “We’ve had him checked out with a fine-toothed comb and nothing has been revealed.
“We’re not going to put a programme on him and realistically the one remaining race for him in Europe is the Arc. But the most important factor is getting the horse back on song.”
