Kims late surge lands minor gamble

KILLARNEY has long been lucky for Austin Leahy and the Limerick handler struck again at the track last night when Kims Dream landed a little gamble in the Killarney Oils Ltd Handicap.

Supported late from 12-1 to 8-1, the daughter of Antonius Pius surged through in the last hundred yards to collar the flattering Days Ahead and score by a neck under Emmet McNamara.

“She was very unlucky last Sunday (Tipperary), was almost on the floor after two furlongs”, reported Leahy. “She will go to Galway now, of course.”
