Running over two miles, a trip possibly short of her best, Firsy Beauty was beaten a length and a half into second by hot-pot, Leblon.
That was a decent effort, considering Leblon had previously chased home Willie Mullins’ well-regarded French-import, Tarla, in a Grade 3 at the Punchestown Festival.
Bryan Cooper partners the selection and he and Hughes also have possibilities with Ballochroy in the Leo Dolan Memorial Handicap Hurdle.
Ballochroy was beaten half a length by Hoopy (gave 10lbs) at Tipperary and is weighted to reverse the placings.
