Karasiyra looks set to go one better

JOHN OXX, enjoying a modest campaign by his high standards, can saddle Karasiyra to land the Listed Lenabane Stakes at Roscommon tonight.

She is gradually coming to hand, producing a career-best effort in a Group 3 at Cork last month.

Fran Berry weighed in 2lbs overweight then and you can certainly make a strong case that it cost Karasiyra the contest, considering she was beaten a short head into second by Grace O’Malley.

There was plenty to like about the manner in which the daughter of Alhaarth battled and a repeat performance will surely see her prove hard to beat.

Grace O’Malley went to Haydock on Saturday and wasn’t disgraced when fifth behind Barshiba in the Lancashire Oaks.

Oxx’s Dawn To Dance might be good enough to win the Tote Jackpot Races 3 to 6 Maiden. Fourth to Bea Remembered at the Curragh last time, she has essentially been disappointing, but this is about as bad as it gets.

Tracey Collins’ once-raced Belleau gets the vote in the Irish Stallion Farms’ EBF Auction Maiden.

She was fourth at Navan behind Emperor Hadrian and the second and third respectively, Mr Man In The Moon and Cloneylass, have won in the meantime.

David Marnane’s All In Clover gets the vote to shrug off top weight in the Tote Placepot Races 1 to 6 Handicap.

She scored with lots in hand at Fairyhouse last week and a mandatory 5lbs penalty may not be enough to stop her.
