Griffin poised for glory

DAVID WACHMAN, enjoying a solid campaign, can add to his tally with Griffin in the Thomastown Stables Median Auction Maiden at Tipperary tonight.

The son of Encosta De Lago made a promising start on this track last month and can be fancied to build on that.

It certainly took a while for the colt to realise what was required and he was being pushed along well before the straight by Wayne Lordan. But gradually he warmed to his task, staying on steadily through the final furlong and a half or so to finish third to Eskimo and Noble Call.
