Fabre heaps praise on young gun Guyon

ANDRE Fabre saluted Maxime Guyon after the rookie pilot guided Byword to glory in the Prince of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot yesterday.

Guyon had never ridden in Britain before, but handled the difficult Berkshire track like an old hand.

The French raider, sent off the 5-2 favourite, scored from Henry Cecil’s Twice Over to give owner Prince Khalid Abdullah a one-two in the Group One contest.
