Eddie Lynam’s gelding ran the race of his young life in a Group 3 at Newmarket last time and a repeat that will see him prove hard to beat. At Newmarket, the son of Kyllachy matched strides for much of the five furlongs trip with some of the best sprinters in Britain, before finishing fourth behind Equiano.

There was a lot to admire in the way he stuck to his task and this has to be regarded as a drop in class.
