Fallon lands fab 357-1 four-timer

KIEREN FALLON may not have an Investec Derby ride at the moment but he advertised his claims for a spare mount with a four-timer at Ayr.

Fallon lands fab 357-1 four-timer

The six-times champion jockey primarily rides for Luca Cumani and with the Newmarket handler nothaving an entry in either the Derby or the Oaks, Fallon could conceivably sit out the Epsom Classics, unless someone like Aidan O’Brien comes calling.

However, he is in flying form and kicked off his 357-1 haul aboard Jim Goldie’s Northern Fling in the williamhill.com – Live World Cup Markets Handicap.

Fallon showed his customary drive to get the 4-1 shot to the front a furlong out and he held the 3-1 favourite Celtic Sultan by three and a half lengths.

“He tends to be happier behind the leaders, they went pretty quick and I couldn’t lie up there but they came back to me pretty quick and I got a lovely ride,” said Fallon.

“He did it nicely for me.”

The Mick Channon-trained Light Dubai made it 13th-time lucky under Fallon at odds of 9-2 in the williamhill.com Greyhound Derby – Watch Online! Fillies’ Handicap.

“She’s been well tried and this is probably the lightest race she would have run in. She picked up nicely and liked the ground which helps,” said the winning pilot.

Fallon then made it three wins for him and two for Goldie as Tillietudlem stepped up to the mark as the 8-15 favourite in the Scottish Sun Miss Scotland 2010 Handicap.

Well supported in the ring, Tillietudlem was three and a half lengths too good for Los Nadis.

“I thought I was struggling at the three-pole, I was a little worried, but the gap opened and when he went through it, he got his confidence and picked up,” Fallon said.

“He was obviously coming at the right time and it went well for him.”

Fallon continued his irresistible form and rounded off a great day as he galvanised Five Star Junior (15-2) to a head success in the williamhill.com - Home Of Betting Handicap.
