Make it Mutamaleq

DERMOT WELD, whose horses have made a good start to the season, has prospects of a double with Mutamaleq and Natural High at Killarney tonight.

Mutamaleq, a daughter of Refuse To Bend, is the nap choice in the Irish Stallion Farms’ EBF Median Auction Maiden.

She has run just twice, showing significant improvement from her first, at Gowran Park, to her second, at Dundalk.

The Dundalk contest saw Mutamaleq finish third behind Dalkan and September Morn and that looked a much hotter heat than this.

Natural High is hard to oppose in the www.goracingkillarney.com Race. Winner of a Galway bumper and on the flat at Tipperary, he was last seen when finishing a creditable third to Lucky At Last and Torphichen at Galway back in October.

The selection clearly has summer goals in mind and is unlikely to be fully wound up for this test. Natural High does, however, appear different class to his rivals.

Edward O’Grady and Andrew McNamara also have possibilities of a double with Judge Roy Bean and Rocco’s Hall.

Judge Roy Bean arrives on the back of a solid effort behind Stonemaster at Limerick and can make a winning debut over fences in the Irish Stallion Farms’ EBF Beginners Chase.

Rocco’s Hall has been frustrating, but hinted at a return to his best in the competitive handicap hurdle won by Dorset Sqaure at Punchestown and gets the vote in the novice chase.
