Punters can get off to a flier with Hellyhunter

AN old adage has it that a good start is half the battle and, hopefully, such will be the case at Fairyhouse this afternoon.

Punters can get off to a flier with Hellyhunter

Davy Fitzgerald’s Hellyhunter is the nap choice in the first on the programme, the Course Signage At Fairyhouse Maiden Hurdle.

A game winner of a bumper at Galway back in October, beating the useful The Kings Sword, it would be fair to say he hasn’t produced anything to compare with that thus far over flights.

The selection did, however, give promise of better to come at Naas last month when third behind Case Study and Cadspeed.

The form is ordinary, but this is a moderate contest and the booking of Ruby Walsh might just work the oracle!

Lord Cebellino, now an 11-year-old, is the interesting candidate in the Family Fun At Easter Novice Handicap Hurdle.

He was last seen at Navan four weeks ago, over fences, when beating Becauseicouldntsee a short head, with the third 20 lengths further away.

Lord Cebellino is currently rated 116 over fences and runs here off a mark 18lbs lower than that.

He should at least go close, with Becauseicouldntsee romping away with another beginners chase at Fairyhouse last Saturday.

Kimberlite King, far from one’s favourite horse, gets the vote in the 20% On Line Discount Beginners Chase.

Beaten three and a half lengths into second by Across The Bay at Naas last time, Kimberlite King may be up to landing a woeful heat.
