Fund hit by cashbox theft

THE Injured Jockeys Fund in Britain were hit on Thursday with the theft of the day’s fundraising takings of more than £1,000 at Huntingdon.

Having received support from racegoers wishing to help the Fund by purchasing their Christmas cards, calendars and other gifts, it was a huge blow when an opportunist seized the cashbox as the table top stand was being packed away.
