Sea the Stars boosts Ireland’s reputation

HRI chief Brian Kavanagh, pictured,believes the success of Sea the Starsillustrates Ireland’s reputation in theracing world.

The John Oxx trained colt became the first horse to complete the 2000 Guineas/Derby/Arc treble while also recorded wins in the Juddmonte International Stakes, the Irish Champion Stakes and the Coral-Eclipse Stakes.

Kavanagh said: “Sea the Stars was born in the Irish national stud, reared there and then moved a mile up the road to John Oxx’s yard.
