MUNSEF has been given the green light for an ambitious raid on the Melbourne Cup.

Second in the Stockholm Cup last weekend, Alvechurch trainer Ian Williams confirmed the seven-year-old will be making the trip Down Under for the ’race that stops a nation’ on November 3.

Williams said: “We discussed the matter during the week and we decided he should take his chance.
