Simcock eyeing Bushman bid

DAVID Simcock is gearing Bushman for a tilt at the totesport.com Cambridgeshire at Newmarket on October 3.

“The plan is to go there. It is a race we have had in mind for quite a while now. He will probably have one run beforehand and that might well be on Saturday in the Superior Mile at Haydock,” said the Newmarket trainer.

“He was unraced as a two and three-year-old so is quite lightly-raced for his age. He slightly lost his way the end of last year and the beginning of this season but I’m really happy with him now and he is training very well.”
