Delegator poised to deliver big prize

DELEGATOR has been mixing it with the very best colts around so far this season and a slight drop in class can see him return to the winner’s enclosure at Goodwood.

The Dansili colt has long been talked up as a potential superstar by former trainer Brian Meehan, and a brilliant victory in the Craven Stakes at the start of this season added substantial weight to his claims.

Sent off favourite for the 2000 Guineas, the three-year-old had to make do with minor honours behind Sea The Stars, an effort which can only now be given the credit it deserves given the winner has now established himself as the best horse in the last 20 years.
