Ballybrit boost for Weld and Smullen
Off the track since May, the daughter of Pivotal, which won her maiden here last autumn, edged past front-running Drumbeat nearing the furlong pole before asserting to win by a length and a quarter in the colours of Moyglare Stud Farm.
Weld commented: “She did it well and is a smart filly. She hasn’t had a problem. I was just waiting for suitable opportunities and ground. Today’s mile was as far as she’d like to go. I see her more as a seven furlong filly, or seven and a half and she’ll go for the Fairy Bridge Stakes at Tipperary next, at the end of next month.”
