Longer trip to suit Adjaliya

SEASONAL debutante Adjaliya is the nap choice to land the fairyhouseracecourse.ie Handicap on a rather mundane programme at the Meath track this evening.

Longer trip to suit Adjaliya

Lightly raced as a two-year-old, Adjaliya started by taking third at Roscommon, prior to making no mistake at Dundalk in early December. That contest was over seven furlongs and the selection came home strongly to beat Pozyc by half a length. She now takes a dramatic rise in trip, up to 12 furlongs, but as a daughter of dual Derby winner, Sinndar, is likely to come into her own over such a journey.

Michael Kinane partners Adjaliya for John Oxx and the duo can also supply the solution to the Wednesday Evening Racing At Fairyhouse Maiden with Cluain Alainn.

He is bred to be more than useful, by Dalakhani out of Josh’s Pearl, but merely hinted at possessing ability on his only outing so far when ninth to Toraidhe over a mile at the Curragh in March.

But the ground was soft then and this much faster surface, and a further half mile to travel, may well see Cluain Alainnn in a more favourable light.

Ger Lyons’ team are in terrific shape and his Bankrobber should go close in the Irish Stallion Farms’ EBF Auction Maiden.

The Catcher In The Rye colt performed with promise first time out when fifth to Dream Deer at Dundalk, in a contest which has been working out quite well.

Lyons’ Tarrsille, who displayed plenty of speed when scoring at Dundalk, has a leading chance in the Ballybin Handicap.

Chantilly Lace, runner-up behind Maybe Grace at Dundalk, gets the nod in the Fairyhouse Summer Series Maiden.
