Ruby ruled out with fractured ankle

RUBY WALSH is set for a spell on the sidelines after fracturing his ankle in a fall at Killarney on Sunday.

The rider was aboard the ill-fated Imperial Hills in the Ladbrokes Odds On Loyalty Card Handicap Hurdle when he came down at the third last along with two others.

Walsh missed his intended rides on Monday and orthopaedic surgeon Bill Quinlan has now confirmed his injuries are more serious than first thought.
